Thousands of buyers came from 72 countries
CNR Fashionist, the biggest exhibition in Turkey for evening gowns, wedding dresses, and groom suits, was organized by CNR Holding and Osmanbey Textiles Businesspeople Association (OTIAD) between the dates of December 4-6, 2018.
Thousands of visitors attended the exhibition which received great attention from day one and hosted 800 foreign procurement committees.
100 leading companies participated in the exhibition with 250 brands, presenting the latest trends in the evening gowns, wedding dresses, and groom suits industry on 30 thousand sqm.
CNR Holding Chairwoman Ceyda Erem stated that the fair will meet every requirement of the international industry buyers, as well as the need for the domestic market with the procurement committees who are visiting from all over Turkey.
500 Billion Dollar Business Volume
Erem said that buyers from 72 countries including Europe, USA, Africa, Far and Near East, and Commonwealth of Independent States have made reservations and they have all come to the exhibition from day one, adding, "800 foreign procurement committees came to the exhibition. Half of these committees are visiting within the scope of ITKIB which is organized with the support of the Ministry of Trade, and the other half is visiting as a part of the Hosted Buyer Procurement Committee organization of CNR Holding. Procurement committees had B2B meetings with exhibitors since the first day. Our target is 500 million dollar trade volume. We will raise the 1.5 billion dollar export volume to 2 billion dollars."
Erem said that the exhibitors were displaying their latest designs at the runway shows with the support of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, which set the trends for 2019 evening gowns, wedding dresses, and groom suits. Erem noted that Dilek Hanif, one of the most significant fashion designers of Turkey, was one of the designers to present her Spring/Summer 2019 Readywear collection at the gala day.
"It will be an OSMANBEY Festival"
Osmanbey Textile Businessmen's Association (OTİAD) President Rıdvan Kandağ stated that the exhibition has started with extensive meetings, adding: "I visited the procurement committees and exhibitors. Everybody seems happy and content. We will host procurement committees for 3 days here."
Kandağ noted that 800 procurement committees attended the exhibition, and the participation is not only domestic but international. Kandağ said, "I consider this an 'Osmanbey festival'. We think that the exhibition will be extremely exciting and successful.”
